Question:

I will be installing 3/4" pine flooring. Because of its softness and without puting any varethane on the floor what would be the best option for a stain sealant?

Answer:

I used five quarters pine and just put liquid plastic on it about ten years ago and that seems to be holding very well. The softness of pine of course, has to be respected.
