Question:

It's cheaper to hire an independant rather have the developer put in the hardwoodfloor during the construction. What's the best choice and why. I want to save money but I want the job done right the first time most importantly. By the way the house(part of a big development) hasn't been built yet.

Answer:

I see nothing wrong with having the builder do the installation but you might want as who the supplier is and then talk with the installer in person. Its important that he knows that you are interested.
