Question:

I currently have carpet on my curved staircase and parquet wood floor in the hall. I want to parquet the stairs and upper hall and put a runner down. How do I finish the edges, especially the curved edges.

Answer:

You'll have to form your own curved front caps for them and that can get to be a costly move. You can easily mill or buy the straight front caps but the curved ones are something else.
