We have 2 layers of linolium on our floor, unknown to us when we bought it. We want to pull it up and put in hardwood. What is the easiest way to remove linolium. Our house is 14 years old.
Answer:
There is only one way. Remove it, along with the quarter-inch underlayment. This you can do with a wide-mounthed prybar. Once you have the sub-floor clean, make sure you take all the squeaks out of it with 1.5" plywood screws before laying in the hardwood.
