Question:

We just purchased a house in the Kanata (ON) area and we are hoping to put in some new flooring in the master bath and the 1/2 bath on the main floor. Would installing vinyl flooring be a project that the two of us would be able to handle given that we don't have much experience. If so do you have any tips?

Answer:

There is no reason why this shouldn't be a DIY project. The best tip I can give you is to buy a scrap of sheet vinyl no smaller than 6X6 and fit it to your needs. This is cheap and when you feel comfortable with it, buy what you want and then apply the adhesive. You'll have to remove the toilet to do it right.
