Question:

I have a 16x16' deck with a corrugated
fibreglass roof. The fibreglass sheets
are about 8' long and 2-4' wide. They
are old (I'm guessing) and when the
wind blows they make a racket. Some of
the nails have come loose. It's difficult
to re-nail because of the roof angle and
the fact that I cannot stand on any part
of the roof to nail. Any suggestions other than having the roof replaced?

Answer:

Nailing isn't really the way to go with these things. There are screws sold for the purpose and they already have the rubber or lead washers to protect the surface. About the only way to walk around up there though is on a sheet of plywood to ensure you don't go through. The corrugated edge on the wood that goes under the panels will normally keep them from chattering.
