Our two story house is 12 years old and approx. 3000 sq. ft. with well, water softner and septic tank ect. We have installed a new pressure tank and new well pump and all to no avail. Is there such a thing as a booster pump? If the toilet is flushed tap water is just about nil. There appears to be plenty of pressure at the source as I have boosted it up to sixty five pounds. One plumber suggested changing all the pipes to 5/8". we have 5/8" in the basement and 1/2" was used throughout the rest of the house(huge and costly job) another said the onsuite in the master bedroom (which is the worst area) is at the end of the line and should be redone indipendantly from the rest of the plumbing. Another costly job of breaking out walls ect.

Rather than thinking of a booster, you should be tracing the blockage that is keeping pressure down. Somewhere along the supply line there is either a gob of solder in the line or a line valve that is not fully open or something like that. Turning up the regulator to 65 pounds is not the answer because some of your solder joints will object by opening and then you have a flood. I don't see any point in changing all the lines to 5/8 but the line leading as far as the hot water tank from the pump should be either 5/8 or 3/4".
