A brand new house (less than 2 weeks old) has stains on the countertops. We had no instructions with the granite and need to remove 3 or 4 stains. What can we do? Thanks.

Answer:

Granite tops should have been sealed with a penetrating sealer before use. Check with company that manufactured the tops for you if this was done. One way to check if sealed is if you wet the top with water you should not get any discolouring of the stone.
