Question:
Good day!
We have a roof that is the favourite resting place for every bird in our area, which seems to be along a flight path to all the fruit trees and evergreens in our back yard. Of course, our shingles show the evidence left behind and it is quite unsightly!
My question: Is there anything that can be done to clean these droppings and is there something that can be done to deter this from happening in the future? I am almost certain that we will have to replace the shingles which were replaced in 1991.
What kind of shingles would you recommend as a replacement?
I appreciate your attention to this and await your reply.
Thank you very much.

Answer:
I'm sure that there is a cleaning product out on the market. Your best bet is to call Roofers world which is a roofing equipment and roofing products like what you need are sold there. The number is 613-736-7654. For your second question, you can purchase and install a owl decoy that will deter the birds from flying over your roof.
