Question:

Hi Anthony, I have a major problem. I live in a mobile home that has a shingled roof. Every winter ice builds up at the edges, when it starts to thaw the build up does not let the water drain so it is backing up and coming through my ceiling. Help what can I do? Thank You Tammy

Answer:

The best way is to be pro active and remove the snow off the roof before it has a chance to thaw. If you’re too late and the snow turns into ice, make channels along the edge of the roof using the blunt side of an axe. The channels allow the water to release from the roof.
