Question:

My 1997 mini-van seems to produce just a little heat. How is the heat is a van produced? Is is just waste heat from the engine or is there a separate heater?

Is there a way I can temporarily produce more heat for now? Could I use a piece of cardboard attached to the inside of the front grill to reduce the cold air that blows onto the radiator and the grill?

Answer:

It could be heat from the engine is re-routed to the interior. It could also be the thermostat or low coolant. A more accurate diagnosis could be made if we could have our technicians look at the vehicle. Please call us at 834-6397 to set an appointment and we would be happy to address this and any concerns you may have.
