Question:

My husband and I are thinking of buying a home. We have no debts other that a car lease and my husband earns 46K+ a year. He started a new position in January. What price range could we expect to afford and how difficult would it be to get a mortgage. We have some investments (not RSP) and about 10K in cash savings. We are currently paying $1350 in rent with no problem.

Answer:

Thanks for the mail

It sounds like you could use a really good mortgage specialist who could provide you with a number of financing options and help you and your husband determine the level of financing that you would be comfortable with and an approximate price range that would fit you family profile

We have excellent mortgage people who work with us on a daily basis and if you contact us at 613-830-9999 we would be happy to refer them on to you. There is no charge and no obligation on your part. You'll be suprised and pleased with the results.

Regards
