Question:
Hi I have a difficulty sleeping with light in the room, and I would like to black out my bedroom windows. (Or as close as I can)
I have 2 problems tho. 1. The budget is tight. 2. My wife insists that it has to look good :)
Can you suggest any inexpensive, and visualy apealing solutions?
Answer:
Hi,
There are three options that I can suggest:
1) Opaque roller blinds which would be the least expensive; 2) Pleated Shades with a blackout liner would be a mid- priced option and; 3) Honeycomb shades with a room darkening fabric. This is the most expensive of these three products.
Pleated Shades and Honeycombs will look better than simple roller blinds. There will be a quarter inch of space on each side for any these shades. To dress up the window a little more add drapery panels later on. This will make the rooms even darker.
