Question:
Hi...I have a standard shower stall in our basement that was here when we bought the house..I think it might be 10 years old...in any case the base has discoloured a bit over time. Is there a way that I can paint this rather than pulling it out and putting in a new one?
Answer:
I am not sure what the base is made of and the treatmnt may be different to remedy your problem. An acrylic tray may be polished to remove stains etc whereas a fibre glass or other material may not have the same ability. Paint is and option for some material; it will look good for a while but the adhesion property of the paint under hot and cold water and with the addition of soap the paint may not last long. Check with your paint supplier for the best solution.
