Hi Bob,
I have a bathroom in my basement, which I'm renovating by replacing and moving the fixtures ( Sink, Shower and toilet). How do I connect to the old plumbing systems, which will be 5 to 6 feet from their original location.Do I break the concrete and lay new pipe. Where do I connect to the old system?

Yes, breaking concrete is how you locate the drains in the new locations. Mark out an efficient path from the new fixture locations to accumulate waste into a 3" waste pipe that connects into the old 3" drain under the floor. Planning will help you minimize the amount of concrete you have to remove. Do not forget that proper venting of these new drains is required for your fixtures to drain properly. The old drains should be sealed tightly to avoid any sewer gases from escaping.
