I need to relocate the flange

What should I know about cutting using a sawsall?
The move is to make more space
to new tub.

First of all follow all of the manufacturers instructions for the safe operation and use of the tool. Secondly, take care to avoid bouncing the saw on the pipe as it is cut. Cast iron is relatively fragile and you can crack or break the pipe unintentionally. Third, watch where the saw blade is going beyond what you are cutting. Becareful there are no wires, other pipes or structural components in the way that the saw blade can damage.
