Good evening,
I would like to ask you 2 questions.
First:I would like to have an estimate to build a bathroom in my basement. The roughing is in.
Secondly: I would like to replace my regular shower faucet by a regulated one, so when someone is taking a shower another one can open the water tab no problem. Would you know how much it will cost for labour to change the 2 faucets.

Secondly, the shower valve you are referring to is called a pressure balance valve. The internal workings of the valve detect a pressure drop in either the hot or cold side of the valve and immediately restrict the pressure on the other side to maintain the temperature of the water coming out of the shower. It is really impossible to quote the cost of changing the shower valve without having a look at the location. If the shower valve can be accessed from the rear (i.e. through the wall behind the shower) the cost will be less than if the front wall of the shower has to be removed. Some older valves are actually outside of the wall and can possibly be replaced relatively easily. Again a visual inspection ir required to give an accurate quote.
