Question:
I'm a novice home renovator, and was hoping to install some crown mouldings in the living and dining room. Is this a difficult process for someone without experience? Is there an easy way of measuring and cutting?
Answer:
Well for someone inexperienced you may want to start in an inconspicuous area. Mouldings require a great deal of accuracy when both measuring and cutting. A mitre box is imperative for cuttings. There are some tools available that can assist you with getting accurate measures. I believe Canadian Tire has one. You could also check with your local Home Depot or Rona if they are offering any of the seminars they often put on for do it yourself projects. Good luck in your project.
