Question:

Trying to remove vinyl wallpaper and border from plaster walls and wallboard in a century home. Have tried wallpaper stripper after scoring the paper but it is coming off in tiny pieces. Can I paint over the paper, use a steamer????

Answer:

Unfortunately, it will be difficult to get off. I would suggest you contact a local wallpaper installer and ask what they might do. I'm not sure a steamer will help much. You can paint over the paper, just be sure to prime the walls before putting the colour on. Best of luck . Catherine Pulcine CPI Interiors www.cpiinteriors.ca
