Question:

We are in the process of finishing our basement. We will have two windows in the bedroom in the basement. What type of window covering do you suggest for a basement window? Thanks for your help.

Answer:

Basement windows often present a unique challenge. We need treatments which provide complete privacy as well as allow as much light as possible to enter the basement. Blind treatments which stack up into a small space such as pleated shades and cellular blinds are ideal for basement windows. Hunter Douglas offers a new cellular product called Trio, which not only can be drawn up and down like a traditional blind, but can also have it's individual cells operated for extra visibility. You can check out the Trio on our website at www.riopelledrapery.ca . Look at the summer newsletter for information on Trio shades. Good luck with your project and thank you for your question!
