Question:
Around my resin tank is a square plastic housing. I've noticed that it is slowly filling up with water (not the brine tank). I also noticed that my salt distribution was set at 90lbs vice the recommended 6lbs in my manual (I just recently purchased the house and the system I 8 years old). I have change the distribution of salt to 6lbs as recommended in my owners manual however, I am still getting water in the housing.
I believe that because the salt dist was set at 90lbs vice the recommended 6lbs the seal may have gone on it. What is your feelings and or directions.
1. If I switch the service to off, can I then unscrew the clock/timer from the resin take to check the seal and the tank? 2. Is this under pressure and if so how would I relieve that pressure to remove the timer? 3. If it is the seal can I purchase a seal at Home Hardware, Canadian Tire etc? 4. If it is resin tank can I purchase any resin tank of the same size and how much would a resin tank cost?
Answer:
Hello thank-you for the question. I believe you are on the right track but I would need to know the brand name of this equipment as this will make all the difference. Cheers Martin
