Hello, the cleaning schedual depends on the UV's brand name. Very cheap UV's need bulbs and the glass lining cleaned more often. All brands need a new bulb every year. Make sure you have a conditioner / iron filter (depending on water quality) to clarify the water before it passes through the UV system. What type of UV do you have? Cheers Martin
