Question:

I have a furnace mounted Honeywell electronic air cleaner that I cannot get one element to stop arcing. It seems to be arcing internally but I don't see any obvious points or damage. I've rewashed it in softened water an number of times with no luck. Any thoughts or insights?

The Ionizing wires may be damaged. Unit should be looked at by a service technician.
