HI
my house was built in 99. I have a gas fireplace in the basement and have not had it serviced even once. Is this a problem ? Must I get someone to check it on a yearly basis ? There is no problems with it from what I can tell (works well).

Answer:

After the second season of use it is recommended to have the fireplace cleaned and inspected each year. This is probably stated in the users manual.
