Question:
Hi Kerri,
Thanks for replying to my inquiry.
Taking your advice I've started looking at spas with some knowledge in hand.
What about the minimum motor HP needed for Hydrotherapy?
I've seen the cheaper "soaker" fun tubs for around $1000 to $5ooo, but I've decided to go for the quality ones that are functional health wise - hydrotherapy.
I've narrowed my choice to the following:
Coast - Paradise - Mermaid Pools
Pacific - Solar - Sani Sol / Aber Mfc.
Hot Springs / Caldera - Campbell Pools
Jacuzzi - Fitness Depot
Beachcomber - Artistic Design
You mentioned that a handful of manufacturers produce good quality spas. Are any of the above mentioned spas in the top quality level?
Are any of the above mentioned dealers reputable to do business with?
Those spas were given Recommended 4 Star status by Spa and Pool.com web site. Which 2 top brands and models would you recommend from the above mentioned spas?
Thanks.
Rolando.
Answer:
Hi Rolando,
Good homework, three of the five manufacturers (in my opinion) would be included in the handfull. As a hint check out years in business.
Again the basics is selecting a manufacturer would be history (years in business), guarantee, comfort, energy efficiency, quality, design and function.
We are commonly asked about horsepower and maximum amount of jets. In actuality you want "continuous" horsepower (engineered for appropriate power in relation to the size of tub while providing a deep massage without wasting energy). Continuous horsepower runs continuously at specified HP speed, to confuse matters you will often hear very high HP motors offered, they have to fluctuate up only for short time frames otherwise they could not be run off of 40-60amp GFCI's.
Of the dealers, check their references, community involvement, awards won (not the type you can purchase), building relationships with their clients beyond just the products sold and how you feel you'd be serviced after the sale, that should narrow it down again for you.
My pleasure to help you out and if you need further assistance don’t hesitate to call again or at the Award winning Artistic Group, 2739 Carp rd, 831-5559.
