I have removed the old ceramic tile from my kitchen wall above the counter and below the cupboards. Some of the drywall paper came off. Now I want to replace the old with new ceramic.Should repair the drywall or just go ahead with the new ceramic. If I should repair the foundation can u advise what I should us.
you will need to repair it if the condition of the drywall is really bad I mean if you have soft spots because of water migration........
if it is just the paper and it is not torn to the gysum inside then I would say that you should be fine just make sure that the old dried glue is all taken off, and use a knife to sratch the surface randomly to give the new tile something to stick to
