Question:

Hi Tony, My new house due Nov 15 has the wrong colour shingles installed (builder error). Should I have the new colour shingle installed over the top of the old or have the builder strip the wrong shingle and replace with the new colour. Any advantage one way or the other?

Answer:

Hello there sorry about the other e-mail! As this is builder's error, I would have the existing stripped off and new installed. You can install over the existing. But when it comes time to replace on 20 to 25 yrs time, there will ne extra cost to strip off 2 layers. No advantage one way or the other. Tony D'Angelo
