Question:

hello marc i checked out your website from the link, but i have a couple questions for you. the concept sounds interesting. what is the difference in price in using your forms vs. the standard ones? am i correct in saying that your material is more expensive, but that you may save money in both labour to intall them and possible energy savings later? also, how much is your system being used in home-building today? thank you for your time peter

Answer:

Peter, The concept of building with Insulating concrete forms started in European countries almost 50 years ago. As new technologies evolved, ICF became a compatible and affordable building alternative. A 1920 sq.ft. bungalow in Perth, Ontario built with IntegraSpec®, was tested by the EnerQuality Corporation and reported to be 61% more heat efficient than conventionally built houses & 45% more heat efficient than R-2000 targets. These results make this the most energy efficient home in Canada; greatly reducing energy costs from heating and/or cooling. Feedback from our clients shows that if building with IntegraSpec® from the footings to the roofline, the price reflects a difference of between 0 % and 7 % more than it would if they had build conventional, a difference easily recuperated with the energy savings. Anyone is allowed to install our product, as long as they get a mandatory onsite training & assistance for pouring. IntegraSpec® is extremely versatile and User Friendly for any type of projects.
