Question:
I just moved into a house that has three attics (all with R8 insulation), but there is only access to one of them. Do they sell kits or anything to install attic access doors?
Or should I just start cutting and build one as close as I can to ones I have seen in the past?
PS one of the two access will have to be door style (vertical) above one of the stairways.

They do sell kits with trim and doors that one can use to make an attic access hatch, some kits even include the ladder to access. You can create your own own just make sure it is well weather stripped and well insulated. Your attic as you know should be increase to at least an R32 value which is code.
