Question:
I am currently walling and insulating my basement. I have installed tar paper against the outer wall followed by r12 pink unfaced bats and I am intending to put a 6mm vapor barrier between the pink and the drywall. I am seeing conflicting information about leaving 8" gaps in fibreglass an floor and in not extending the vapor barrier fully to the floor. What is the proper solution?

Keep the fiberglass insulation and vapor barrier 8" from floor, yes this is the proper solution.
