Question:
I am on a well and all my pipes, my pump and water softener have allot of condensation. What is the best way to insulate or stop condensation. I also only have a crawl space. I've tried to insulate my main large plastic pipe with the standard pipe insulation foam, but the condensation is still getting through. I would like to get my humidity under 80%.
Thanks for your help
Answer:
Unfortunately yes the cold water from the well meeting the warm air is causing the pipes to sweat. Increasing the thickness of the pipe wrap should help control the sweating of the pipes.
