Question:
Just like to know if one piece patio door plastic film that is put over the inside of patio door that is held in place with a plastic frame on the door trim is worth the $$$. These retail about $20-$30 and they say are reusable.
The prices are being slashed as I don't think consumers are buying.
Answer:
The majority of a homes heat/cooling cost are lost through mass air transfer. Therefore windows and doors are the number one medium for air movement, so if the homeowners have windows and doors that are old, problematic and not as energy efficient as some of the more better window and doors out there, then yes absolutelty they should be placing additional protection over those areas. Covering those window and doors with a door and window kit would be a simple and cost effective solution until they are ready to invest into more energy efficient windows and doors.
