Question:

Hello, Martin, Which grass will grow in sand?

Answer:

Hello What type of snad is it? There are not a lot of grasses that will tolerate pure sand, except some ornamental grasses and some seaside grasses. Tall fescue has a deep root system and will probably tolerate sand more. Also some sports fields have been known to have been grown on a sand mixture. However, they are all high maintenance fields requiring appropriate fertilization and high irrigation. Any grass grown on sand would require higher than normal fertilization and irrigation.
