Question:

Hello Doug, Would it be less expensive to have a home alarm installed before the construction of our new home is complete or is it comparible if we were to have it installed later? Thank you Stephanie Lockhart

Answer:

ATTENTION , STEPHANIE LOCKHART RE; PREWIRING FOR HOME SECURITY SYSTEM... THE OVERALL COST OF PREWIRING SHOULD NOT ADD TO THE COST OF THE HOME SECURITY SYSTEM. THAT IS TO SAY, IF YOU PURCHASE AN ALARM SYSTEM FROM A COMPANY, THE PREWIRING SHOULD BE INCLUDED WITH THE OVERALL COST. THE GREAT ADVANATGE TO YOU WOULD BE THAT WINDOWS & EQUIPMENT THAT WOULD BE HARD TO DO AFTER DRYWALL HASS BEEN INSTALLED ARE MUCH EASIER TO DO, AND, THE PLASTIC VAPOUR BARRIER WOULD NOT BE DAMAGED WITH A PREWIRE, MAKE SURE THAT THE COMPANY THAT IS DOING THE PREWIRE, WIRES ALL TERMINATIONS BACK TO THE PANEL, & THREE SPARE WIRES TO THE ATTIC(FOR FUTURE USE) DOUG
