Question:

I have what I consider a high hydro bill and can't figure out where my main consumption is. We have an oil hot water heater, oil furnace, and don't use the dryer that often. How can I figure out what's responsible for my high hydro bill?

Answer:

While there are many mitigating factors contributing to your Hydro bill, not knowing the size of the home or appliances (types) i.e. are they Energy Star or Energuide rated appliances, are they new or old, types of office equipment or home office equipment etc. are all part of the equation. If you require load testing to determine exactly where the usage or spikes are I suggest you contact Jonathan Ham at 823-2944 , Green Home Inspections Ltd. Regards, Robert Hill
