Hi Robert. We have frost forming on our interior hardwood floors below the baseboard in two rooms on west end of house.The rest of the house is ok. What is the cause and how do we rectify??? Thanks in advance.

Answer:

The most logical solution would be to verify that you have proper header insulation installed in the basement directly below the area of frost buildup. The insulation should be a minimum R18 with 6mm vapour barrier. Regards, Robert Hill AmeriSpec Inspection Services
