Question:

Dear Mr. Princiotta; I'm wondering if it's cheaper to build than to buy in the Ottawa area these days. How much can we expect to pay per square foot if we decide to hire a builder? Sincerely, Melanie McElhinney

Answer:

Hi Melanie, It is probably less expensive to purchase a used home than a new. Depending on the size of home, a new home could cost more or less $150 per square foot to build brand new. Regards, Joe Princiotta
