Question:
I have an older home built in the 50's In the living room over the fireplace is a large mirror, which is stuck to the wall, I would like to remove this mirror without hurting anyone, I know there will be damage to the wall, please help me.
Answer:
Elaine, I would suggest calling a glass and mirror manufacturer and ask them for any tricks in removing the mirror. It would probably depend on what was used to 'stick' it to the wall. At any rate make sure when the project takes place that you and your help wear good safety gloves and safety eye gear. Lay our a drop cloth over a large area where you are working to collect anything that might fall.
Good Luck
