Question:
Erin, I have a small house with small closets, and no real way to make any changes. But ... I'm wondering if you know of a different type of closet rod. When I iron my clothes and hang them, they get "squished together" and then have to be ironed again! We do have room to put an upper and lower rod in each closet, but I'm wondering if you know of any type of rod that has "indentations" or "grooves" that individual hangers could go on to prevent over-crowding, and where I might get these rods. Also, we have an upper shelf in each closet, so if the rod has the wire-type shelving attached, we wouldn't have the room for it.
Hoping to hear from you soon, or someone else at "homefocus" who specializes in closet storage. Thanks!!

I appologize for the delay getting back to you. I wanted to speak with a college of mine who is a professional organizer and decorator. She also represents the closet factory, a company who specialized in closet organization.
I/we are not aware of any product on the market that might help you with your spacing problem. The only suggestion we could come up with is using the 'wire type' shelves and placing a hanger in each of the 1/2 inch spaces.
A consultation from the closet factory is no cost. A on-site consult might be helpful, or if you wish to give me a call at 905-866-8358, I can give you my colleges contact information.
Good luck,
Erin Zagar
