Question:

Jay: In my "Outlook Express". under tools and in "Accounts", I have the following under the ALL tab of Internet Accounts. - Active Directory -Bigfoot Internet Directory Services -Infospace Business Directory Services -Infospace Internet Directory Services -Pop6.sympatico.ca -Switchboard Internet Directory Services -Verisign Internet Directory Services -Whowhere Internet Directory Services -Yahoo!People Search Directory Services All are directory services except my pop account. My question is can any of these be deleted. The reason I ask this is because almost every time I launch "Outlook Express" I have to reboot the modem because I do not get connected. Thanks, Peter

Answer:

The Directory Services accounts are installed by default with Outlook Express. They can be used to find e-mail addresses of other people in an organization or around the world. You can delete without affecting Outlook Express. However, it's not likely they're causing Internet connectivity problems that could be worked around by rebooting your modem.
