Question:
We are in the process of redoing our porch. We've stripped it down to the studs and now need to make a decision about floors. We want to do the main entry of the porch in tile, but we also have stairs that go down to the basement and we're not sure what to put there. We've considered wood and tile. We want something that will be each to clean and unlikely to cause us to slip and fall. What would you recommend? Thank you!
Answer:
A porch is usually located outside of the extirior walls. To do ceramic tiles on a wood frame and wood subfloor is not recomended becuase there will be too much movement such as contraction and expansion due to moisture.Wood would your best bet.
