We are removing rubber back carpeting from our painted basement floor. What would you put down to replace it. Carpet with underlay, carpet without underlay or laminate flooring.
Answer:
All your choices are good.For comfort,sound absorption go with carpet and pad.The glued down carpet is the same as above just not as soft.Laminate flooring looks great and it does a good job it is easy to maintain but needs to be dust mopped frequently to maintain a healthy environment.Also laminate in the basement will need a moisture barrier,this is very important.
