Question:
Hi, I was thinking of installing laminate flooring in my basement and over concrete but am unsure of the warmth factor. In the winter it can get to -40 degrees and in the summer +40. I am assuming that a vapor barrier, then underlay (foam) and then laminate is the normal course of action but I'm worried about retaining some warmth in the winter. Should I install a subfloor first? If so what kind? What would you suggest Thanks
Jen
Answer:
Unfortunately my expertise is hardwood flooring. There is too many kinds of laminate floors on the market. It is difficult to give you a right answer. Thank you Pierre Cantin
